Why is Public Service important to you?

“I have always enjoyed helping others. I started with volunteering with various organizations in middle and high school.. Then I started my career path in physical therapy to help people gain, or regain, a better quality of life. But as I was working in PT I felt a calling to be able to help people at the moment they need someone the most. That is when I knew that I wanted to become a paramedic and a firefighter. Being able to answer the call for a person who is truly in need, at the moment they need you, is one of the most rewarding things in the world to me.”
